RED RIVER SURREY BIKE BAR CRAWL

Red River Surrey Bike Bar Crawl

Posted on July 06, 2015

There's no better way to explore the sights and sounds of Red River than a lazy afternoon bar crawl with your friends. Sitzmark Sports rents bikes that hold 3 to 6 riders, so your group can pedal around together while getting to know Red River's wild side, with multiple venues featuring live bands, singers and songwriters, traditional food and friendly people. Start at Sitzmark and take our Surrey bike bar crawl tour of the best little bars Red River has to offer.

From Sitzmark Sports at the corner of Main St. and 8th St, cross over to the south side of Main and head east to Pioneer road.

1. Shotgun Willies
403 W Main St Red River, NM 87558

We start here so you can fill your belly before hitting the town. It's not a bar, but Shotgun Willies has been serving up food to skiers and visitors for over 20 years. Known for their breakfast burrito, burgers and BBQ, there's something for everyone. Shotgun Willies closes at 3 pm so hurry if you are starting out late, or skip it and go directly to our next stop.

From Willies, go right, down Main Street to Bunker Hill Trail. Cross Main and go north on Bunker Hill to High Street. Hang a right heading east down High St and enjoy the scenery all the way to the second stop on our crawl.

2. Sundance Mexican Restaurant
401 E High St Red River, NM 87558

That trek down High St. can make you pretty thirsty. Stop into Sundance for chips and salsa and a round of their house specialty Frozen Agave Wine Margaritas or their homemade Sundance Sangria. Both come by the glass or pitcher, so try both! View their menu here.

Just south of Sundance is the next stop. Corner of Copper King Trail and Main St.

3. Lost Love Saloon at Texas Reds Steakhouse
400 E Main St Red River, NM 87558

Step right into the old Wild West. This small and cozy little bar is a must stop for at least one drink and to throw some peanut shells on the floor. In the summer, Lost Love Saloon hosts live singer songwriters every night of the week. Their calendar of who's playing can be found here.

The next stop on our crawl is just next door. Go outside and go east.

4. Motherlode Saloon
406 Main St Red River, NM 87558

The historic Motherlode features live music all year round. There's sure to be a band playing or a dance party to join. Perfect mid-way stop to get out and stretch your legs on the unique dance floor where you reach up and literally raise the roof. Visit their Facebook page for music line up.

Time to cross Main Street again, CAREFULLY please! Just on the corner is the next stop

5. Bull O' The Woods
401 E Main St Red River, NM 87558

You can't miss this Main Street landmark boasting best-in-town burgers and bar food. Enjoy the patio while it's nice outside or swing through the saloon doors and saddle up to the bar. Another great spot for live music and dancing in Red River.

Hang a left as you come out of the Woods, and head west up Main Street all the way back to Sitzmark Sports. Enjoy the sights and sounds of Main Street and wave to the friendly people along the way. Please bike responsibly,
